Founded in 1992 in Garland, Texas, our company began with a simple idea and a shared passion. Two friends, Jeff Lowe and Jeff Moss — one a body technician, the other a painter — met while working in a body shop and quickly realized there was a better way to serve the automotive refinish industry. After experimenting with aftermarket clear coats, they saw an opportunity not just to use better products, but to bring those products directly to other professionals who needed them.
That vision led to the purchase of an old Snap-on truck, which they transformed into a fully stocked mobile paint and materials unit. From there, they began running dedicated weekly routes throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, building lasting relationships and earning trust one shop at a time.
In 2003, Jeff and Jeff took the next major step by acquiring DeBeer Refinish, expanding their offerings and solidifying their position as a trusted supplier in the industry. Over the next two decades, the company experienced steady, organic growth — expanding into seven retail locations, employing over 50 team members, and continuing to invest in both people and infrastructure.
In 2025, J&J further strengthened its commitment to excellence by acquiring Axalta Refinish, adding another premier product line to its inventory. This strategic expansion represents a major stepping stone in our ongoing mission to provide our customers with industry-leading automotive paint solutions, unmatched product selection, and exceptional technical support.
Today, we remain driven by the same core principle that started it all: providing exceptional customer service. With plans to open additional locations and expand into new markets across multiple states, our mission remains clear — to deliver high-quality products, dependable service, and unmatched support to every customer we serve.
